I'm not sure the tires won't rub the leafs with the backspacing on the wheels I have now. I may have to get some 1 1/2" spacers to keep them off of them.

Unscrew the turn limiters on the hubs and put 1-2mm lock washers under them. The cheapest and the most effective mod for that. I have 2.5" SL, .5" on shackles in combination with 33's on Cragar rims with 3.75" back spacing and I still had some rubbing going on there. Moreover, if you will be upgrading steering stabilizer to something larger than OEM, chances are the new one is going to be hitting the wheel-to-wheel steering rod when you turn all the way to the right (or left, I don't remember exactly) position. To avoid that you might need a longer bolt (don't be cheap and buy a grade 8, not that regular junk that's in the kits normally) and a few more spacers in combination with those lock washers under the limiters. It leaves enough room for everything. Have fun.

Removed the shock mounts and spring perches off the 8.8 and grinded to prep for the swap.

Took my dad to play in the mud. Dont have a back window on the passenger side so when my tire slipped for a second it threw mud all over him. It was pretty entertaining and he took it well.

After 2 months of back and forth with the salvage yard, finally got my Sahara seats and carpet delivered on the 23rd. Took them both for a deep cleaning (note that the car wash gave me 1/2 off because I brought everything in before I had installed it in the jeep), and spent an hour last night installing everything. Still can't believe that I found original seats in such amazing condition. Also replaced the dash bezels and glove box with the original Sand colored ones I bought on Ebay.

Got my 4" lift on tightened it all down, bled the brakes, re routed the vacumn lines. My buddy let me out and we drove out. He turns right I turn left I get to the street shift to 2nd and it binds and pops out. Dang forgot to check for that in the shop. Tires are in and waiting on the jeep in the morning after work I pick it up for a quick trip back to the shop to tweak that out. Just that one more little thing.

Oh yeah... you cant really use 2nd, 4th, & reverse until you cut or grind out a larger opening so your shifter doesn't hit the tub... keeping you from going into those gears. I forgot as well, but was quickly reminded like you, lol.

Got her stuck in Brushy Creek after my son and I finished a round of golf. Had to wade out in our golf attire and wait for a friend to come pull us out. Creek flow from the recent rain created a hole I didn't know was there.
Only came up to the bottom of the tub, but I high-centered her trying to getting out (dug a few tire holes in the rock bottom).

Oh well - no harm, no foul! Heck of a way to finish a round of golf.

Lesson learned - need a winch!

Yep, I did! But, then my phone got wet hooking up the tow strap. So, unless the rice dries out the phone, then you'll just have to use your imagination.

The phone dried out, so here's an "after" shot with the doors off and the remaining water draining.
