I know I will regret it later, but have a feeling I will be back in a YJ (or a YJ based buggy?) sometime down the road. My wife's health has deteriorated, so we sold her TJ... and then I decided to sell my YJ and put both Jeeps funds into my JK. I'll be back though!

Fixed the center console. It's an aftermarket and you could open it with a finger when it was locked. I had to relocate the metal part that prevents it from opening when locked. My valuables are safe now.

Pulled the heater core out the daughters Jeep and cut for the blower upgrade. Not finished yet though. Tough getting those bolts to line up alone. Daughter is going to help tomorrow.

And found out why the passenger seat won't flop up or slide. Has freaking tack welds everywhere. Guess I'm going to be looking for a frame.

Anyway, new guy to the forum, first post outside the meet and greet thread. Here's a pic of her with her new to us Jeep. 1987 yj with a 305, needs a lot of TLC.

Heater core and blower upgrade is a must. Huge difference in volume and heat. Do not tear the paper hvac sleeve for dash/defrost. Was impossible to find when i did mine. Duct tape was my friend then... i will admit that. Seat frames are pricy. But worth it to buy new. You dont want someones elses weekend project.

That looks awesome! That's exactly what I want to do with my '95. Any tips? Did you use the spray or roll on?

Surface prep is key. Take your time with every step. Monsta recommends white primer first for this color and we used their universal primer. It sprayed nice and we used two coats. I sprayed this application and let me just say that if you spray make sure EVERYTHING you don't want lined is taped of well. The monsta undercoating gun flings this stuff EVERYWHERE! I've rolled it on the inside of two tubs and spraying creates more texture. Rollers seemed to have smoother finish. It's a fun project.

Thanks. I'm thinking I'll do the inside of the tub first and see how that goes.

Wheeled it hard. Ran into some issues but still made it home all in all still better then a day at work. Popped the rear main oil sprayed on the exhaust and caught on fire, I got the fire out then the heatercore blew , bypassed that then when turning around in 2-1/2' of snow my ps belt broke , So front locker 35's single digit air pressure in snow made for a fun ride. Then my compressor took a crap.

Finished my Currie HD steering set up with the steering stabilizer. I left the stock one at first and realized I was going cheap on a really nice set up. This was a very cool and needed upgarde. The difference in thickness is crazy. Well worth the $. And after I went with the Metal Cloak 3.5 short arm suspension, the steering was a no brainer. very happy with my underside now.

I also transfered all my X Mas goodies to my jeep. Those being a ViAir 400, a really nice tire plug and patch kit, a Warn recovery kit, a ARB air down tool and a hitch mounted D Ring. It was a very Merry Jeeper X mas at my house.

Took the 8.8 to the shop to have the gears installed. Still more to do before it goes in the Jeep, but it's gettin' there.

Replaced clutch master & slave cylinders. Got the pre loaded (or pre bleed) unit , saved alot of time. Went for front end alignment & new tires. Next is battery.

Picked up the 8.8 with the new gears installed. Next on the checklist are new wheel bearings & seals, rotors & pads, and new brake lines. I popped open a caliper and they appear to be in good shape. If nothing else I have another used set in the shed that I could use.
After all that's done I can focus on getting a 4 banger front axle to go with it.

My son and I took the old girl out to take his senior pictures. He wanted "his" Jeep in the picture.
