Installed a throttle body spacer, did the 4.0 throttle body upgrade, and put in a Rugged Ridge cold air intake.

I don't recommend the Rugged Ridge. I got it to work, and the response is great, but their intake needed adjustments to fit and the instructions were horrid.

Also, I've read around here in lots of posts that the 4.0 TB needs the IAC and TPS from a 2.5 or else you get problems. I just removed the positive terminal from the battery to reset the CPU. Works like an absolute charm. To hell with tamper proof torx. lol

Put a new winch mount bumper on the front. Found it dirt cheap on eBay. Looks like the Smittybilt SRC, but they were calling it a Spyder something-or-other.

I cannot emphasize enough how much any of you should avoid this horrible product. I also got a tire carrier rear bumper from the same people and it's just as big a piece of scat. why did I do this to myself? Because I'm mentally handicapped when it comes to "deals" involving hundreds of monies.

I got the front bumper to work by cutting the crap out of the mounts. The back involved lots off cutting, too. And let's just say I avoid using the tire carrier as much as possible because it's such a pain to open and close.

But, everything is all mounted up and I'm wiser for the experience. Technically.

I have been eyeballing the front bumper. Guess I should pony up a little more for quality.

Or just DIY that way you make sure the quality of the product is at the top of the priority list.

Hadn't really considered that until you mentioned it. Good idea. I think I will price some steel next week.

The phrase "You get what you pay for" means what it says. I felt differently at one point in time because I was under the impression that dimensions and materials that seemed to be the same and the brand name was the difference. But have found out that some brands actually take their time manufacturing their products.

Today I did the first full tune up on my wrangler. I must say this was the easiest tuneup ever. It took me less than an hour to replace the cap, rotor, spark plugs, wires, oil filter, fuel filter and air filter. She is now running better than ever.

Installed some 19lb Ford fuel injectors. It seems like it gave the 4 banger a little more torque and a smoother power band.

New muffler

Found a racing 3a carbon fiber muffler in Craig's list. I got it for free so I threw it on the jeep. Sounds beefy, and not ricey!

2.5 5 speeds, gutless lol, hard top soft top, body just had been redone, 231 000km on it, new clutch and brand new 2.5 inchs Rough Country on it. Waiting on a T-case drop so the vibration over 80kmh (45mph) will stop!

edit: running on 31inch Dick Cepek

just trying to find some way to have a lil bit more horsepower, i need to do a tuneup too

There are a few tricks for a little more power out of the 2.5. It'll never run like the 4.0 of course, but they are tough little engines. Yours is set up like mine. What year?
