I removed the crappy Carter and installed a Motorcraft 2100 in it's place. I replaced the speedometer cable, so I can now tell how slow I am going. Then added oil, as usual because of the RMS being shot and added anti-freeze.

I tested my fuel pump and determined that I have a ground problem at the pump. So I'm going to ground it to the chassis, spend a few hours remounting the tank and putting everything back together and hope I can get back out on the road.

Hope you like replacing unit bearings.

Are you running after market rims with spacers?

Well today I replaced a brake hose on my 22 year old jeep.I'd say it lasted long enough cause it sure looked original. It busted on my way home from work yesterday. And the crazy thing is it went to the floor at first then the pedal pumped right up and I could see the mess of brake fluid over the front leaf and chasis but it still stopes normal. It was a pin sized hole. I also painted the radiator ,just so it looks new.

Went to the local hot rod club cruise-in at 5 Guys and when I came down the row of T-buckets and '34 coupes heard lots of "that ain't no 4 cylinder in there" type of comments as I went by.

Won a door prize too - a free pizza

Please do and pm me when you do if you don't mind. And yes I'm gonna attempt to build my own top for the snorkel as well, looking to go as cheap as possible. And are you using your stock intake box?

I did a complete rear brake overhaul today, drums, shoes, hardware and wheel cylinders. Also replaced front and rear ebrake cables that previous owner had disconnected due to them being seized. Replaced both rear tail lamp assemblies. Odd part was when I went to go start her to pull her out of the shop, wouldnt start. Fuel pump wasnt kicking on. Just to be certain, checked the fuel pressure and got a nice big zero. Checked the relay and it checked out good for ohms across the coil, hooked it up to power and ground and it energized and made continuity on the circuit from terminal 30 to 87 so relay was definitely good. Had power on the fuse box side of circuit thirty so I jumped power on the box to the proper circuit and it energized the fuel pump. Put the relay back in and she fired right up. Makes me a little wary of taking her out into the woods with phantom fuel pump problems. Wondering if the pump is on its way out or if theres an electrical gremlin in between the box and the pump...

I ordered a new brake switch and bought a hi-jack at Tractor Supply.

I then used my new hi-jack to spread open the passenger side door frame so I could finally close the door. I still have to do some customization to the hard top to get the door to fit properly, but it is so much better now.

Oh, yesterday I adjusted my rear brakes. The parking brake cable is still too loose to use, but that can wait until other things get fixed.

Rebuilt my Dana 30, Ring and Pinion, Spider Gears, replaced all bearings with master bearing kit, new axle seals. Seems I had a spider gear to loose some teeth and well it took out the rest. Hey its just money and time right, if your gonna play your gonna pay.
