My little niece n 1 1/2 year old nephew rode with me n the YJ for the first time. First thing my nephew said? "ma... What thee" (mom what's this?) lol

Then they were both lifting their arms like it was a roller coaster n gave me high fives lol

I put some red thread lock on my custom knob hoping it will stick and not wiggle around. Guess I will find out after it cures till tomorrow! Next is saving for a snorkel and a new hunting/fishing license (gonna get my lifetime) to go utilize it!

Haha you caught me! I hope it works, was going to let it dry but I had to run an errand and my knob was still spinning so I came home, put a little more on there and am hoping that over night and such will sort it all out.

Jeep is a part of Chrysler, not GM/Chevy

In fact Ford had more to do with the original military jeeps than any of the companies around today.

I didn't do the conversion, actually bought that jeep for the axles, we wheeled it once and now we're selling it to my friend. It's a well done swap though, painless wiring harness, very clean clean implant. It was fun to wheel but the suspension on it sucks.

The motor in my picture is from a 93 mustang, and i think the accessory drive is from a 94 or 95, cant remember but it brings the accessories up higher. Its mated to an nv435 and np205.. my friend is swapping in a zf5 eventually.

Its also funny the best axle swaps are ford axles..

Whats the best steering Dana 44? The late 70s high pinion 44s from either f100/150/bronco/250

Whats the best steering Dana 60 without going aftermarket? The kingpin high pinion out of ford f250HD/f350

Whats the most recommended rear end swap for jeeps? Ford 8.8

What about going 5 on 5.5 to match the front 44? Oh yeah, the Ford 9"

Ford can make axles! and in front ends they sure knew which to have made by dana..

ohhh yeah lol, its fast.. i got to drive it home when we bought it, about a 7 hour drive back. It definitely needs a 5 speed though for the freeway, and with the ZF5 it'll be perfect, granny gear and overdrive.

I know one guy who did just that on his CJ. Made a great combo but he replaced all drivetrain but the front axle which he says is the weakest part of the new setup. Just FYI.

The 302 was a good motor.....came in the 69 camaro only I believe only. The 305 from chevy was beat.....smog motor from the mid to late 70's maybe even the early 80's. I was commenting on the dude who said he was getting ready to put a 5.0 in his jeep. Somone said ford I said it could be a chevy they also made 5 litre motors,,,,,but mostly meant it as a joke as I knew he probably meant 5.0 mustang motor and not the crappy 305 smog motor. The 302 or 5.0 litre from the 69 was a beast of a motor. I run the cam from that motor in my 67 327 engine. Screams all the way to 6500 rpms.
This is my other addiction:
