If your speedo's off so will your milage be. I haven't calc'd my 99 4.0 lately but I'm getting 15 mpg on 33's in the mountains. I got 3.73 gears so I drive like your grandma.

Out of adjustment speedo would be my guess.

I get 10.5
06 Rubi, auto, 4" lift, 5.13s, 35's, heavy armour and my fat azz in the seat.

Just because it's a six banger, doesn't mean it's going to be economical to drive. The more you do to them, the worse it gets.

95, 4.0, 5sp with 31's & a 1" shackle lift.

18-19 with the top and doors off. 22-almost 23 with the top and doors on, A/C on and off (more on lately!).

Mileage verified with the GPS. I drive around a thousand miles a week - so I'm pretty up on the consumption and miles I drive. Looks like 3.07 gears (likely) and I drive it easy. That driving is interstate (60-70MPH, mountains, and rural driving (I own a home inspection business) Only mods are the K&N CAI.

Most recent fill up shows I'm getting about 12.5. That is no top, no doors and no a/c. I usually average around 13.5. Must be time for a tune up.

Hey back4more. Some of these jeepers are cheating they are quoting thier tj and jk's.
You are not doing that bad at all. I have not calibrated ours but it is reading about 5mph slower than we are actually driving from what our GPS is showing.

94 4.0L 5sp. 30x9.5 stock with a K&N CAI. I got it back up to 18 - 19 mixed city/hwy.
When I was getting 14 - 15 I found that my fuel return line was partially blocked.
