What kind of lift to do??

I have a 95 yj that im looking into lifting very soon. I've been searching here and there fir a few ideas. I'd like to fit 35 inch tires all said and done. My question Is what kinda lift should i do? 6 inch suspension? 4 inch suspension and shackles? Or a spring over conversion? Keep in mind i will be doing all the work myself. Just looking for the most cost effective and decent ride. The jeep is my 3rd vehicle so its not a DD. Thank you. :-)

Easy way..... 6" lift

If your skilled and have the equipment.... SOA

I'm not a fan of using shackles in any way just for clearance and stability issues so I won't even respond to that but in a pinch you could do a 4" lift and a 1" body lift to save on costs...You may need a little more height though if you really start flexxing it..

I am fixing to do another SOA. They are not to bad if you have a place and a welder. main thing is that you will need at least a drop pitman, slip yoke eliminator and CV shaft. The rest is not bad as far as just using new perches and so forth. The cost i figured is about the same as a 4" spring lift. I have been researching it alot. But that is if you do it all yourself.

It's a Jeep, getting a decent ride is impossible. Gotta love it.

Go SOA, mine is a 4" SUA, not bad but wish I had the resources to do an SOA.

Alright i might snag a 6 inch lift than. My g/f offered to pay for the lift so im good to go. I'll save my money for some rims and 35's.
