I have the same backseat darkproximity posted. It is sitting in my garage waiting to be installed. I need front seats badly but I can't justify the $250-$300 per seat cost. I will be searching the junk yard for a pair of seats from a donor vehicle, like motormike.
Their cloth so you can imagine how they do in rain and mud, I've been looking for a pair of water proof seat covers. But their fully adjustable and way more comfortable than stock seat. I used the stock risers and sliders from the jeep and made my own adapter plate
wow those look nice.... may do red / black for my jeep. my only concern is that they look like they could get pretty hot in the summer, esp being made of pvc. i sweat bad enough from my vinyl seats. i dont see these being any better, maybe even worse. whats your experience with that?
Original Sahara Trail cloth as well looking to have mine recovered I like em, Plus Im converting my Sahara into a Jurassic Park Jeep so I kinda need to keep them :whistling:
I have an OEM and a Rugged Ridge in my '90.
What I figured happened was the previous owner tried to replace a wornout drivers seat but, the Rugged Ridge rubs the roll bar when slid back so, he put the new seat on the passenger side.
I didn't know they were different until I removed the aftermarket seatcovers.
No big deal that seats don't match, I don't think my sideburns are the same length.
Haha I don't think my sideburns are even either lol
Nice collection so far! I'm getting some good ideas about replacing my seats, they are hard plastic " off road" racing seats' they suck ass and hurt yo ass after 30 min driving with them haHa
I see some people put seats from other rides in their wranglers which is what I'm contemplating due to funds etc...
Are there stock seats from another rise that will fit the wranglers stock sliders and risers?
I'm running front/rear Mastercraft Rubicons. About $285ea front and $475 for the bench. I love 'em! Nothing beats a good suspension seat on a long day of crawlin. :thumb:
I installed 1999 Grand am Gt seats this week from the local Pick-a-part. $41 and 2 hours of labor. They are VERY comfy.:thumb: Still have a set of neopreen covers for when I go mudding. Here are some pics.
Sorry...they are actually '99 Grand Prix GT seats and they dropped right in. The driver side fits like a glove. The passenger side is off about an inch but the brackets flex. All I had to do was attach one side then push the other side to line up the holes.
They sit a little high and the passenger side will not recline because it hits the roll bar.
