Each definitely has its benefits. That's why I still have my CJ but my JKU is my DD and good for trips from TX to Moab, wheel, and not get beat to death on the long road trip.

Far north dallas here but do get over to Bridgeport OHV park. There's a great run scheduled to Hidden Falls Adventure Park by Austin in Oct. freaks at the Falls IV. All are invited.

Lol, I wouldn't worry about that too much if I were you. Comments made like what you are referring to are generally reserved for people talking smack and demonstrating that the clearly dont know what they are talking about, which you haven't. It's all good! Hope to see you on the trail. PM me if you do head down there so we can link up.

Because that makes sense...

Built not bought buddy. Keep playing with your fancy new gizmos. There are some places they dont belong. When those JKs get cheaper the first upgrades people who know what they are doing will do is rip out that traction BS and any electronics possible.

BTW this little rock thing I climbed with a Cherokee left a built JK with a locked front at the bottom. Your just pissed off I got about $30k less in mine.

(comment: So you want JK owners to rip out electronics to add electronics? Isn't that like the skank calling the slut a whore? This is just another example of a prefectly good display of ignorance)

Again you demonstrate your ignorance on multiple levels.

My JKU that you are afraid to try to follow has less than 30k in it, total! "How?" you may ask. Because I do know how to build a Jeep.

My CJ has under 10k in it and you couldn't even keep up with it even if I stayed in 2wd.

Not impressed with that hill. Easy climb. Maybe if you were more of a true Jeeper instead of a Blue Falcon you could have shown the JK how to climb that. Like I said, looks like an easy climb and the only way a JK couldn't make that is due to driver, not vehicle. You are just so intent on bashing JKs and JK owners though it is apparent to me you truly don't understand what Jeeping and wheeling is really about. I feel sorry for those that wheel with you though as you are clearly a BF and I truly hate wheeling with people like that. Actually, I just truly hate dealing with people who have the BF mentality you have continued to display on this thread.

BTW, I fixed all your errors in your post. Maybe you should take some of that money you think you saved and invest in your education. If you were to write what you mean instead of how you talk, the reader would better be able to ascertain the point you are trying to convey.

Jeep on troll.

Scouts Out as I'm done with this troll.

Who said I walked to the bottom genius? Only thing scary about a jku is when they get stuck that extra weight is a bitch.

But there you go, blah blah blah again with no real information. If you had just said jku sooner I would have treated you with kid gloves. You must have some serious buyers remorse if you have actually wheeled that thing.

Oh and im typing from a phone. I'm glade dat boders u doh. U mus b talking a lot of cap. Yo post count wunt up 30 in just a couple deys. Hup u be learning.

My buddy with a medium built JK is an Engineer who wants a YJ to build for the trails. Smartest JK owner I know. I myself I am pretty edjumacated as wellll

This thread makes me laugh...

I was impressed with a group of semi stock JKUs at the rubicon last week. Just mild lifts and tires. Its more about driving skill than the rig, but they were going up most of the hard stuff. I would wheel a 4door if I could afford it.

If I had the $$$ yes and since I don't its the YJ. Besides what would I do with all my free time week nights. Always another mod or just some wrenching to keep her going. It turns heads on club trips I am usually the only one who shows with leaf springs. My YJ and I get a long fine we are both old and slow.

Driving skill, knowing your rig and its capabilities, pushing those limits, and helping other Jeepers. It's too bad there are "Jeepers" on here who are more intent on bashing fellow Jeepers in a BF manner as opposed to helping them. Certainly it's a person who truly doesn't understand the true Jeeper mentality. Too bad he'll never man up and accept my challenge. Probably because he knows he'll be embarrassed! So man up yj, pull your big boy pants up over your panties and come on down to TX. Ill even pay for half of your gas.

Looks like much of this has turned into a bash fest led by the uninformed who continue to drink the koolaide and are unable to see that each vehicle has its merits.

So again, feel free to come on down to TX and just try to follow me. Don't worry though, I do have a winch, recovery gear, and tools to help you when your junk gets stuck then breaks. If you do take me up on my offer, please ensure you have good solid recovery points and skids on your rig because you will need them and I don't want anyone complaining when I yank their rig out of an obstacle I just drove thru and their junk gets torn up.
Yeah, here is a clear example of someone who has bad time dealing with hearing about the bad things in JKs. Like slinging terms calling other people Jeeps junk. Thats def a good Jeeper attitude . I never even ripped that bad on them, mostly the electronics. See the funny thing is that I am a Tech. I administer LANS, VPNS, handle security (physical and virtual), and deal with pretty much anything that has an OS. I can build computers to do whatever I want them to do. I know the weaknesses of computers better then most. I know they are great to have, but they have their place. The place they do not belong is on a trail. They are good for the highway if you start to spin out on some snow, but as the Jeep ages, they WILL FAIL. My YJ has very minimal electronics. Pretty much only the injection system, IAC etc. The rest is 100% mechanical, with the excpetion of the 4WD light on my TC and the Reverse indicator on the side of my trans, both of them I can drive without. When I am on the trail and something breaks, I can fix it on the spot. The only hard part might be getting the part quick enough. When a JK craps out or just wont start what are you going to do? Start pulling the plastic off the motor and hope you can reach the problem, or even identify it? It like working on a damn Civic or something with no room. How much will it cost for you to fix? Maybe if your Jeep is 90% street a JK is a wise decision. If you are going to modify a vehicle to even begin to say it will keep up with built trail rigs you better have a lot of money to waste. I have taken my rig up the red trails at Rausch. Didn't see a single JK out of the 20+ guys on the red trails. Not that a JK cant be made to do it, but it will cost you.

And if you havent smelled burnt brakes and still have a traction control system, you are not taking that thing anywhere too difficult. If your not breaking stuff then you don't even know the limits of your Jeep since you obviously not exceeding them.

This pic I took from the bottom of a Red trail last month. Rocks the size of coffee tables and larger.
