I'm all ears here.

ok here's the info that i have....... Auto Computer Exchange, 1-888-664-8787. they're out of florida, and they stock pretty much all of em (asked em when i was talkin to em cause i know the rest of ya yj'ers are gonna need em eventually....... i paid 278 with shipping, (paid the extra 4 bucks for 2nd day priority)....... well when i got em, they actually sent me two (one on accident) and called me a few days later to ask if i got the 1 computer they sent me. told em "YUP SURE DID". theeeennnnnnnnnnn they asked if i had mistakenly gotten a second computer..... the answer to this one.... "NOPE!!!"... i'm sorry but as yj's get older and older, ECM's are gonna be harder and harder to find soooooooooo IM KEEPIN IT!!!!........ it's their bad and they're none the wiser. but they are really good people to deal with and make sure to check the box for the bonus gift....... could be a second ecm lol the hawg is finally a happy girl again....... till i blew the rearend out...... i put a post up about that too...

that's cool you got your ecm... kind of not cool IMO about the second, just because they asked about it, but hey, to each their own. glad you got it running till u blew your rear, haha. hope u get it on the road again sooner rather than later

Thanks for the info. Not cool on keeping the second one. My 2 cents.

ok so i sent the other ECM back...... finally got a phone call from them stating that they recieved my old burnt up one and that they would pay for the shipping for the mistaken one they sent me........ sooooooooo sent em the 2.5 ecm and enclosed the other 4.0 ecm as well with a note tellin em that they sent me two....... my momma raised me better than to keep it outright without payin for it....... i was holding it hostage till they told me they were gonna pay the S&H for the return...... they figured it out and i told em i had it...... so i did the right thing and sent it back...... now i wont have to look for karma over my shoulder tryin to bite me in the assola

I must have missed something? You state that is an 89 with a 4.2 and replacing the ECM fixed it? The 4.2 was not computer controlled it only has an ignition control module that costs about $40.00.
They do have a small computer under the dash but it does nothing for the most part and a Nutter bypass removes it from the system completely.
If they charged you $278 for an ignition control box (that is located under the window washer fluid bottle) they owe you about 4 more for that price.
