Where is the Toolbox

I have a large metal tool box full of tools in the back of my jeep. I can't see it but I know it's there because I can hear it every time I hit a bump.

A YJ doesn't come with a toolbox in the rear. Take some pics and post them and maybe someone can tell you if something has been modified in some odd way.

I think he was joking...Not sure if you are playing into the joke or not...

As for rattles over bumps...welcome! It could be a lot of things. Maybe crawl under the jeep and see if the exhaust is loose. Gas tank skid loose? Anything that is loose under there.

I think part of my problem is that apparently the previous owner bolted the rear axle directly to the frame. 😉

I guess I didn't think of it like that. I've read weirder things on this forum. LOL

LOL

I got the toolbox joke right away but I'm odd like that.

Now I'm worrying about the whole "axle bolted to the frame" statement.

There's a tool box in the back making all that noise!!!!

I thought it was the exhaust man I could use some new tools. Somehow I don't think mine came with a tool box it was a base model and the ash tray and cigar lighter were extras!!!

I've also been hearing some clanking noises recently... it turns out it's the exhaust pipe rattling against something, and also my track bar mount was shot so my track bar was just tappin around. Easy fixes. Hopefully the same for you!

Straight pipe it so that you don't hear anything.
