Where to find parts for a 1989 Wrangler?

Before I get attacked for my stupidity, let me explain.

I recently picked up a 1989 2.5L YJ that has been sitting for a while. A friend and I have diagnosed that the fuel pump and/or sending unit has died. I plan on replacing both the sending unit and the pump, as well as the hoses, fuel filler neck, and fuel filter seal.

It seems like this particular year is incredibly hard to find parts for. I was only able to find 4 places selling a fuel pump with a sending unit (2 on eBay for $225 and $155, one on jeep4x4center for $185, and one on raybuck for $174). There are very few options available for 1989 YJ, but CJ pumps and 1991+ YJ pumps are everywhere!

For the fuel filter neck, I cannot find one ANYWHERE for a 1989. It seems like they are only being sold for 1987 or older, or 1991 or newer. Can newer parts be adapted to fit? I was specifically looking at this- http://www.jeep4x4center.com/fuel-fi...-52007386.html

Thanks!

Yes, the 91 and later filler necks work, you just need the 91 and later gas cap. The hoses and fuel pump depend on gas tank size. All the 20 gal filler and vent hoses are the same for all years, the 15 gal I believe are a little different(I could be mistaken). I'm not too well known on the pre 91 2.5l fuel pumps though... but $155 might be as low as it gets

You may want to see if you can get the whole tank and sending unit together used, it may be cheaper. Of course try craigslist for people parting out their jeeps, and junk yards. There are lots of jeeps with blown engines that people part out.

That is normally what I would do, but my friend is pushing me to buy new. I've already bought the pump and sending unit anyway, so it wouldn't be worthwhile at this point.
