Which motorcycle mirrors?

For those that run motorcycle mirrors on their YJs, which ones do you use?

I've looked at a bunch. Prefer metal. Prefer black finish. Prefer ones that just slide into the door loops so I don't have to use the relocation brackets.

Any recommendations?

Denis

I have a set a friend gave me, they are off a 2004 road king. I just put them in the hinge, they work pretty good.

I'll have to try those. I called a couple of local Harley dealers and they all want big bucks (like $90/pair!) for those.. so I'm looking for a used pair on ebay now.

I use the mirrors off of a 1972 Kawasaki 350 S2.

I have an old S2 I restored, so I had some extra mirrors laying around, they are literally perfect, if you designed mirrors to mount to the hinges of a Wrangler you literally would end up designing these!

There are a couple pictures of them mounted in my Jeep profile.

most people get "harley long stem" mirrors. but yes, the dealer wants a lot for them. most harley riders take them off asap and put something else on. and they work great for the jeeps. i wouldnt worry about what color, just buy the cheapest set you can find and get some spray paint.

As Said, Harley Long Stem Mirrors work perfect. Not all motorcycle mirrors will work due to the diameeter of the stem that goes thru the hinge.

Shimtampa - I live right by that (on US19, right?) so model numbers and price would be good! Thanks for the help.

Ended up getting a set of black Harley Long Stem Mirrors off eBay. One of the mirrors has a crack in it but otherwise they look solid, are made of steel (and scan be re-sprayed) and they were like $20 shipped for the pair!
