In no way this is worth $322. Try $100...

I just installed mine from RoughCountry. It is a North Carolina 4X4 outfitter and it BROKE MY HEART is was two pieces of Chinese steel. I've broken Chinese tools just simple wrenching...but it was $70. Bad-mouthing over: it's sturdy so far after 2 months of off-roading.

You could probably get American steel and have a shop fab you one for $100--I love my spare carrier but wished I had done my homework cause I like to keep my money in the states.

Anyway---looks like a ripoff to me. Solid enough, but $322 seems outrageous.

I think you can get something tough (decent) like I did for $70-80. I was honest with myself and said if it lasts 3-4 years of my rough-housing then that's the way it'll be...it bolted right in to the stock holes fine.

...the ebay pic showed a tough-looking rack, and that's a good NJ company, and we both know you have to PAY for quality...but 322 for that still seems way too much.

Do you have any pics of yours. My tailgate latch got wedged closed with a 32x11.50 I bet the new 33x12.50s would do it in for good

This is what I bought and installed--good for up to 35"--still solid:

Rugged Ridge 11585.01 - Rugged Ridge Heavy Duty Tire Carrier Mount for 87-06 Jeep® Wrangler YJ, TJ & Unlimited - Quadratec

While I wanted a swinging carrier I didn't have the $$$. I'd reccomend this product (until I break it!)

i just installed mine from the same vendor and all and it is by no means cheap. the only issue i had with it at all is the powder coat was a little rough in a few spots and they refunded me 50 bucks to have it bedlined. i didnt have to drill any holes or anything.

it doesnt impress me at all. Look at the pivot point..........very little steel there. looks like it will be breaking after a little rough houseing.
