248,000+ on the 95 4.0 original motor. Water pump has been replaced, but that's about it.

I've run every Jeep I've had over 200K except for one. Nothing wrong with the motor on that one, the Frenchy transmission took a dive and I got rid of it.

A little over 212,000 and still kicking, a little noisy but after 45mph the wind covers everything.

wow its awesome to see that there are so many people rolling over 200k miles in their Jeeps. I'm in a 98 and just rolled 36k miles so hopefully it will still be cruising through 200k.

225,000 and still going. I'm pretty sure it's not the original motor though or the original motor was rebuilt and converted from TBI to a Weber carb. Did the 88's come original with TBI or carb?

I've got a 95 and i just hit 200,107, haven't had any problems at all with the motor, I've replaced the trans twice already, but the motor is running strong. I have had a few starter issues, and replaced the alternator twice in 10 years, so i think its all in how they treated the motor prior to you. When i got the jeep 10 years ago, I took 800+ mile road trips almost yearly and i never really babied the thing, and I have jumped off a semi tuck with her, so she's been a good lil jeep

92' YJ with 220k original miles - $3500. Towing it home after it dies on the way - $150. Refilling the gas tank because you're retarded enough not to check - $50. Realizing the odometer stopped god knows how many miles ago - Priceless. There are some things money can't buy, but for everything else there's a parts department.

203,000 Original 4.2 bought it with 10 miles on it. it has been abused sometimes neglected. Made a Trip to England and back. lived 13 years in Chicago's salty winters. It keeps running almost no matter what. And almost every fix turns out to be something simpler than I tried at first.

The thing runs on Bubblegum and wishes and I still use it as my Daily Driver. It may have died a few times already, but neither of us seem to have noticed. It is truly one of the driving Undead.
