Who Has The Most Miles On This Forum?

Im going out to buy a 1995 YJ Wrangler and it has 207,000 Miles.

Now to me, it sounds like a lot, but its just a project car for me, somthing to take to the beach every now and again and just enjoy what its worth. (900$) to be exact.

Is this a rediculous amount of miles and the truck is only going to last me a month and its going to break down? Any good mainteince thatll help me?

Tips are always good! Thanks for your help!

In Your Repost, Please Include the Amount of miles you have and the year of your jeep!

My YJ has 209,000 but not the original motor. The original motor had 199,000. I've had my AMC 360 in a Wagoneer, a CJ-5, a CJ-7 and now my YJ. It was rebuilt at 150,000
miles but has over 120,000 miles on it since the last rebuild and it runs like a top.

I get what you're saying, but don't over look things like rust and leaky stuff (trans, diffs, t-case). '95 was first year of galvanized frame and body for YJ so hopefully its pretty solid. For $900 though, I'd expect a few problems...but who knows!

1995 4.0 L with 117,000 still running good, knock on wood! If it has a solid body and frame, it's easily worth $900 to me. You would be hard pressed to find a solid jeep without an engine for that price.

ive got 226,XXX on 92 6cyl 5spd. It had the speedo disconnected a couple years back by the previous owner, guessing they didnt feel like extending the line after the lift. So in actuality its prob more like 250,000.

oh and...97 TJ 4.0 with 110,470 miles

I know a guy that used to drag race (put the engine through hell) his cherokee with a I6 4.0. He had his cherokee til it had 310,000 miles on it...sold it two years ago to his brother, and it still runs fine.

A friend of mine has an old chevy blazer that has a 6 digit analog mileage counter...it started over at 0 last year, which means 1 million miles
His Blazer was a company travel car for some business man before he bought it...the thing is now a COMPLETE PIECE OF SHIT
excuse my language.
The engine's basically been rebuilt with all the parts put into it
