Why can't there be Honest Venders

Why do my jeep part buying experiences have to be so disappointing.
My latest with Rampage and Ebay. Yeah I won a Sailcloth frameless top for a great deal, 399.99. Seller O.R.A.S all well till I informed them the material wasn't sailcloth. They responded with Oh Yeah it is, we looked at the units and called rampage, Sailcloth they said. Well a little investigation reveled that Rampage doesn't manufacture the unit in sailcloth and never have, but they sure tried to spin a good tail to protect their supplier. What Crap.
I won't buy Rampage Anything ever again, and Ebay, should be Lair bay

File a dispute with ebay and paypal. Document everything and they will take care of you. There are lots of honest people on ebay, I do my homework and have made out very well.

Wow I just bought a top from them too! I seen your negative review as I was waiting for mine to be delivered. I just contacted them about the two year warranty, mine is leaking in three spots. I was considering the frameless, but I just went with the replacement. It is great except for the leaks.

Try this new way of buying stuff. Get off your computer and go find a nice local place to buy from. You might actually learn something and make a friend. Unless you just love toss money to people you have never met.

Unless you can verify that the product is genuine Rampage, and that Rampage actually told the seller it is made of sailcloth, there is no reason to have a problem with them.... The issue is with the seller. A crummy seller will say anything to try and cover thier own ass. From the dealings I have had with Rampage, they would not tell a vendor it is Sailcloth if it is not made of sailcloth... Why would they? It doesn't make sense to think they would.

File a complaint with paypal, the product was misrepresented by the seller in any case.

X2

Although if the paypal payment was drawn from a credit card then forget paypal and file a claim through your credit card co. Hope you get it straightened out.

Oras replied to me for the warranty and they gave me a number to call. If you would like this number let me know and I'll pm it to you if you want to talk to someone.
