Winch

I see that harbor freight has a 3000lb winch (with a wireless remote) on sale for $79.00 Let me say this I have a 88 YJ 4 cyl 5 speed

I plan to occasionally off road and on the wussy trails at that
If i use this it will be to pulll my self out of a snow drift

So is this thing worth maybe one or 2 uses a year?

Not 100% sure, but I don't know if a 3000lbs winch would have enough to get you unstuck..

NO!!

it is not worth it. it is a chinese piece of garbage. it won't last or hod up at all, and can be dangerous. if the cable snaps, it will become a dangerous projectile. their stuff cannot hold up to weather elements and will rust very easily. plus, when buying a winch you need a winch that has the capacity of at least 1.5 times the vehicle weight. 3000# won't do it and will break. please, do yourself a favor and keep as far away from that as possible.

I have to agree with jgano23!!!!!!!!!!! I bought a cheep off brand winch one time, for an atv. (3000lb winch is just barely enough for a good size atv) needless to say on second time using it, pulling a friend up a hill, the gear striped out causing the atv i was pulling to fall down the hill. It nearly crushed my buddy. from now on name brand only! WARN is the way to go.

Remember that old saying--"You get what ya pay for" --I also don't recommend buying cheap Parachutes.

2 warns! one in front and one in back. you can lift your yj between two trees, spin it like crazy, and get all the debris out. i've seen some guys get really stuck while elk hunting and use the "double ender" technique to get out and running down the road while big rigs were still bogged down in the middle of the track.
