Windshield mounted spot lights

Hey everyone, I need some suggestions. I am going to mount some spot lights on my windshield brackets. How did you guys wire yours up? I'm stumped as to how to get the wires from outside the jeep, to the switch inside . Any advice, and pictures would be excellent!

Thanks in advance! Happy Friday

The way I've done both of my YJs is about 1/4" - 1/2" to the inside past the bottom windshield hinge. Just drill a small hole (large enough for the wires to fit comfortably) and get a small plastic grommet to fit the hole.. Run the wires through and down through the dash, then put some clear silicone all around the hole so water doesn't leak through. This way, you don't have to go through the space between where the windshield folds down and risk pinching the wires and/or losing the integrity of the cowl seal. You can see it pretty easily in the first picture and I had the same setup on the second picture as well, and you can see on darker jeeps, like yours, it's nearly impossible to see unless you're right up on the jeep and looking for it..

Also, are those PIAA lights? I am thinking about going with Hella 500 Black Magic, or KC Daylighters. I am just wondering about hood glare.

Yes they're PIAA but all the ones you listed are good. As long as you get the "spot" beams instead of flood or driving, there should be little to no glare. I have HIDs in mine, with the spot beam lenses and I have no glare at all, since the spots have a concentrated beam.

Another thing I've recently done is use a little black zip tie to strap the antenna behind the fog light because going through trails it smacks the hell out of it numerous times.. Radio still picks up fine.

I did everything the same but drilled my holes midway between the windshield and the bottom of the windshield frame. Worked out great but I get a lot of hood glare, jeep is bright white might have something to do with it. I put on kc day lighter spot lights.

Here's some pictures to explain my installation. There's quite a few ways of doing it, just go with what works for you.
