YEY Choco Milkshake Anyone!!!!1juan

So my jeep doesn't over heat by very much at all. Maybe around 230. But alas I have some chocolate milkshake in the valve cover. So now I'm taking the PS pump and bracket off and the alt bracket too. I'm about to start taking the fuel lines and wiring when something dawned on me. Besides it being heavy as hell, is their really any reason why I can't take the head off with the intake/exhaust mani still attached? I've unbolted the exhaust pipe from the mani, but I think I can pull the whole thing off with the help of my friend. Any input from the experienced 4 banger crew? Perhaps the vets of the board. Hey let me know before I try to start pulling the head and find out the hard way that I can't. I gotta get my rig back up and running asap!

If you can reach all the head bolts go for it.Gonna be kinda tough to clean the head with all that crap on it though, besides you might want to do the valves while you have it off.

I'm doing the lifters and push rods because the lifters were chattering before all this happened. I'll check the valves. I just wast sure it was possible to do the head gasket without taking all that crap off. The motor was rebuilt 10k ago, but I'm questioning some things I've seen. As in I shouldn't be replacing a head gasket...
