Hi all,
My (and probably your) 95 Wrangler's front seats are a MESS! I was wondering if anyone has replaced your seats with ones like these that are all over eBay for $210.00ish per pair.

How did it work out??

Thanks,

Shawn

Seems awfully cheap to me. Make sure that that will fit 95 Wrangler without adapters.
Some seats for 1987 through 1991 require adapters to work on 1992 through 1995 model Jeep Wranglers. Read the fine print or call the vendor.
I bought Bestop seats for my '87 from Quadratec for $300.00. They are OK, just pretty basic. Sure beats sitting on springs and duct tape.

I am actually thinking about just my seats reupholstered. I know there are aftermarket seats out there, but I want to get a cost comparison first. If the cost is too much for that, then aftermarket it will be.

I looked into having a local shop re uppolster just my driver seat bottom, they quoted me over $600! Shopped around and that was average! Wow! Did some googlin and found install it yourself uppolstery kits in the $600 range for a full kit, but I only want to redo my drivers seat bottom.

Why don't you contact the do it yourself kit manufacturer and ask if they will sell a part kit? I'm sure the re-seller won't break up a kit, but perhaps a manufacturer will.

If your Jeep is a second vehicle, perhaps you can remove the seat, disassemble the back from the bottom and take the bottom alone to the upholstery shop. If you read the instructions for the "do it yourself" kit, you may even want to take the cover off the seat bottom and have the shop give you a price for the cover only. How is the foam in the seat bottom?
I can't imagine $600.00 for one seat bottom. I must be stuck in the last century.

You might try advertising on Craigslist for someone that works in an upholstery shop to do a "side job". It's possible that someone in your area has a cottage industry shop and can beat the big shop prices.

I hear ya, I actually have an uppolstery machine buried in my shop. Just don't have time to do the things I used to do anymore. There is no way I would spend those kinds of $ on a seat! Ha ha. It's not a top priority at the moment, I'm hard into another stroker build this winter, to swap in the yj in the spring, as I have a friend who reeeeealy! wants the one I got in it now. Lots of half decent yj and tj seats around here for sale, but mine will do till I do it right.

Place a wanted ad on Craigslist. Offer $25.00.

You never know what people have hanging around in their garage or attic. All you need is one.

Good luck, L.M.

All the aftermarket seats I have put my hands on, including the popular jeep parts people have in my opinion low grade materials. My yj is well used, doorless most of the summer, and top less on the beach. It gets rained on alot, sun beat and sandy. My stock seats have taken my "love" well, pass seat still looks great, but the drivers bottom is beat. I'm holding out till I can get somthing extremely durable.

Do they sit higher than the stock seats?

My Bestop seats seem to be taller in the seat area by an inch or two.

My seats are in good shape no rips no tears...the steel back is broke on the passenger side and the foam is shot...I wanna try to keep the covers...they have the jeep logo inprintend in the middle...very interested in seeing how someone redoes the foam..
