My half doors dont have locks.

But thats kinda of a good thing. I'd rather have someone open my door to steal something then cut my $400 soft top to get in. Unless you run a hardtop year round, locks won't really be secure

well i have both a hardtop and a softtop.. im running the hardtop right now and i want to get hard uppers some time.. you think it would be easy to put locks on them for running the hardtop? when i run the soft top i dont bother locking it either for the same reason of fear of them cutting my top.. thanks for the help!

I've never taken off the panel to look at the latch mechanism, but I'm sure it can be done since newer YJ's have locks and its the same door
