YJ With 4 cylinders

I have seen numerous YJs for sale with a 4 cylinder engine. How do these engines perform and what kind of mpg can you expect?

I wouldn't buy one, but that is just me. There are a lot of guys that wheel them and wheel them very well with the right gears. I just like a little more power myself.
