When you tumble into the back of your passenger front seat of your yj and the seat back rusted off of the internal seat frame... good times. Thankfully I didn't find that out in an accident just my garage...

no kidding it was definitely a surprise... both seats have been replaced tho and are super comfy! i wasnt actually going anywhere right then thankfully. but it sure would have been unfortunate if i had been going anywhere tho... the seat frames were super rusty... just like everything else on the jeep...

after i got the passenger seat swapped in.

the new seats

super comfy seats but bouncy as hell tho...

There's also "Why didn't you get a bigger lift? That's all you need for bigger tires." like no idiot, first off, it's out of my budget, secondly you don't have one(and consequently don't have to deal with the projects that are involved with owning a jeep), and thirdly it's not "all you need for bigger tires".

You know you drive a YJ when Duct Tape, Baling Wire, JB Weld and Zip Ties are all in your emergency tool box

You know you drive a yj when your friend looks at your awesome jeep, says it's gay because of your square headlights, then promptly looks at yj's on Craigslist for the next hour

... you get rear ended by a pickup truck hard enough to break the seat and tear the floor pan under it...but thanks to the non-impact absorbing tire and "bumperettes" show zero damage on the outside.

When you have just the bikini top on, no carpet, and are glad your Yj has a/c option, so you can try to cool your feet and legs off. Then start wondering, if i remove the center console, could I hear up leftovers between your seats while on the trail. Yes I this happened today, Denver topped 100.

It's been over 100 for the last few days here, I have been in bikini mode for quite some time now. Maybe the doors will come off tonight.

You can do a pretty good job of warming up a can of soup that way.

You know you drive a YJ when....

When you spend more time fixing it than driving it

Just happened today.

Looking at used parts on CL

Lady says she doesn't know what year this bikini top fits. Says it was an older jeep. So I ask: Square headlights or round?

You know you drive a YJ when you hit a hard bump and pieces from UNDER the dash fall off.
I got my first Jeep FINALLY!!!
And it took him only 10 minutes to drop two bolts and some weird pieces on the floor....
Man I am in love with my jeep
