84 cj7

Ok I want ya'll's opinion. I'm looking at a 84 CJ7 with 138K original miles Its all Original. Even Has the original Fiberglass top. Its a 4.0, 6 cylinder, AUTOMATIC!! These are rare! It runs strong, shifts well. Good rears. The guy bought it to put some work in it and use in for a spare in the winter. But he has relocated to Florida, and needs to get rid of it. He put new rear main seal and all new brakes on the rear. The bad... It does have some serious rust in the usual "Jeep" places and the linkage on the tranny needs redone. He is asking $1500. Not looking for a lot of work and money is tight. What do you think should I go for it or not?
