Didn't get any responses from my question regarding testing the ECU on my son's CJ. Took it to my friendly NAPA and they ran it through the test sequence nine times and it checked out fine from cold to warm. Since we have no spark at any time I don't think the problem is heat related.
The previous owner/owners have botched up everything they touched but I'm slowly working my way through the system cleaning and testing every connection and wire for voltage or continuity. The stock Prestolite system is still installed and my question is that there is an ignition condensor wired into the system, it's mounted to the coil bracket and the lead runs to the positive terminal on the ignition coil. With the Prestolite system is there any reason for a condenser to be used? thanks
