That's a nice looking 3B. Wish my Great Uncle still had his from his farm. It was used and abused. Loved that machine. If I stumble across one in decent form, I will be snagging one up. Love the 3B.

You probably know but your missing the wood blocks on the hood for windsheild.
Just a tip don't try to use zip ties to hold the windshield down...doesn't work they pop off and the windshield bounces and dents the hood

It's a 50 cal., non functioning, for looks only.
I have a cover for it when driving, haven't been pulled over yet.

a friend of mine made it, basicly steel box made to resemble a 50. with added rivets, handles and such.
the barrel is exhaust pipe.

I read in another post you wanted to turn yours into a military jeep, you got a nice jeep there, a lot better than mine when I got it. I bought mine just to plow with it, but after getting it running and roadworthy I decided to make it a Navy jeep. My dad was on the SS Saltlake City. Plus, every one has an army jeep, just needed to be different.
There's a site with a lot of info specifically for the 3B, not sure if you've seen it.

CJ3B Bulletin Board

The CJ3B Page

the guy that heads it up Derek Redmon is from Canada also.

Old Jeeps

1971 AMC CJ Jeep Renegade V6, Brand new $2000.00 just off the showroom floor. Picture taken just weeks after purchase. Renegade pulling a 1948-51?? Willy's "M 3-B" (According to my mom) In the picture I am the skinny blonde boy with my Dad, Mom and 2 sisters. I learned to drive in the Willy's. Dad didn't know it, but at that time, Dad was teaching me to steal his jeeps later in life for my own driving pleasure! Were talking at age 13. That'll teach you Dad for giving me the bug so early! I miss you Dad and "Look Dad!" I have a jeep now too!
