Cheap easy rear mat

Just picked up a 3' x 4' x 3/4" mat at Tractor Supply Co. for the back of my CJ I was only $23. and only took about 5 minutes cutting it to size. One side has a oversize pattern like metal diamond plate and the other is ribbed. I think that will let air flow underneath it and the top won't let things slide around so much. The mat being made of heavy rubber should reduce road noise a little. John

Looks good, but it might fly off or band around if not secured.

It might but it weighs about 25 to 30lbs. and catches under the old snaps from the carpet, so I'm going to take my chances for awhile

I put one of those in the back of my LJ a few years ago. The inside of the LJ (top on most of the time) smelled like a tire warehouse for over a year

The store employee that helped me mentioned the smell but I'm topless at the moment, maybe this winter I'll notice it.
