If it has been garage kept, you should be fine but check the frame. Like others will tell you, take a screw driver (or something to hit it) and give it a good pounding, if you find any soft spots, that may be a deal breaker. Post some pictures and someone will be able to further help you, I only know the basics on what to check.

Thanks. Im just wondering if the scrambler is worth anything. I like the looks of the regular short wheelbase jeeps. I drive a tj. Looking for a cj just thinking the scrambler could be weird

On a vehicle that is about 30 years old I wouldn't go to the bank with the whole "garage kept" thing. It's been used at some point like a jeep, so check it over.

Scramblers are awesome! I wish I never would've sold mine. Look for the typical CJ woe's and really check the rear of the frame for rust.

Good luck and if you get it you better post some pictures for us!

Rear frame next to the gas tank on the inside.

Body mounts.
