Cj5 door diagrams

Hey all, i have a 76 cj5 thats almost completely restored; all measurements are correct (windshield to rear), got new best top sail cloth kit, and the doors dont line up with the windshield. Is there a website or any place i can get the soft door specs so i can see if my doors are correct to original specs? Thanks in advance

'76 was the first year of the windshield angle change.

It is possible they gave you doors for a '75 and older.
It is also possible that your rig had an earlier windshield swapped onto it.

Is the windshield angle too steep, overlapping the doors? This could indicate that you have earlier doors.
Is the windshield angle not sttep enough, not coming back to meet the doors? This could indicate that your windshield frame is an earlier version.

You may also simply be having problems with the cowl strip, if it is new and not settled, or old and compressed...

Can you provide pics of the misalignment?

X2..... you are in the "odd years".... also known as the Intermediates..... any one of the reasons Lynn listed could be correct. I found all of those issues and more on my 75..... you may need to lossen the windshield and refit...depending on the severity of the misalignment.

I've got a '76 CJ7 with the same problem. The edge of the door overlaps the windshield right? You'll need to adjust the windshield angle for that, just fold it forward slightly, aside from modding the doors there's no other way I've found to do it.
