Sand, Prime, Sand, Body Filler, Sand, Body Filler........

Finally got the 1st "guide" coat on the drivers side. Passenger side is pretty much ready for real primer.

Rear corners are good as they are going to be. Drivers side corner has took some licks over the years and it will never be perfect. I got the high spots knocked down.

Body work is done on the quarters. Also mocked up my new corners.

Need to lightly sand the rest of the tub and it will be time for primer!!!

Now the bad. I am unhappy about this but I am over it now.

The last thing I did was put a nice heavy coat where I had done all the body work on the drivers side. I was done so I opened the door to clean out the paint gun with thinner and a breeze blew in and the plastic stuck right to the fresh primer on the drivers side.

I think after I sand it down it will still be ok.......If not I will just prime more on that the 2nd time then I was planning on.

Well she is wet sanded!

Got 99% of the plastic issue sanded out. Hit the spots I missed and it will be time for final coat(s) of primer.

nice job on the replacement panels! you work very well! I read in your post you removed the replacement braces to keep the original ones... if you still have the replacement ones and would be interested is selling them, i would be interested in buying them, i am currently rebuilding my tub for my cj with a yj tub, i had an attempt to rebuild the braces but i am not satisfied with the final result, the only way the get the ones behind the doors is to buy full panels! So i you still have em and want to sell them i am interested !
keep me informed please !
