Did you get the OME shocks installed yet? The reason I ask is I had to return mine because 4wd.com sent me YJ shocks on accident and they told me (and I confirmed on ARB's site) that ARB doesn't make CJ shocks.

They do make shocks that will FIT a cj. It is a bit confusion. I'll send you a pm with some details.

Well I have been working on getting the frame painted off and on for a little while.

Here are some updated pics. I have the front frame rails done except for in front of the radiator.

I also have 1 rear fenderwell almost done.

I have been chipping away, scuffing, etc. underneath as well but not quite ready for primer. Trying to make it look good and last this time.

Well my front u-bolt skid plates came in for the 2nd time. The 1st round was for a cj but since I am doing the yj conversion they were 1/2" to narrow. So I orderd them for a yj. Well on a yj they don't have the larger u-bolt on the one side because they are a different width and the carrier is on the other side. Difficult to expain.

Oh well. Josh is going to help me get them modified slightly so they can fit. I went ahead and got the 1 side on.

Well thanks due to a buddy at work we were able to modify the u-bolt skid plate to fit. I had to grind the washers flat on one side due to clearance but it is good to go!

Finally broke down and took off my front bumper. Gains some access to the frontend for my steering brace and bracket install.

My dad really likes the bumper but it will not work with my flat fenders and it hangs down too low so it is off for good. Plans are for a shorty bumper w/ a small stinger.

Well I received my M.O.R.E. zinc coated steering bracket and RR brace today. Very happy but I didn't expect it... long story.

Anyway, I loosened most of the bolts today. I got 90% of the grinding done where the bracket had been welded to the frame. Tomorrow I will finish removal, paint and install new bracket!

Well I got the new steering bracket installed. Looks sharp and fit great. M.O.R.E. makes great stuff. Good price, great quality and perfect fit.

The bracket had the option for a 3rd mounting hole on the top part of the bracket so I marked and drilled that as well. The bracket is so much better than the factoryone.

I have also been painting on the frame. I have the from the firewall forward finished. I almost have the driver side completed and have 1/2 of the underside of the bed done.

Don't have many pics though. I also threw one of how the cj is looking right now....I am ready to have it rolling again.

Me and Josh got the front end under the cj. Going to tighten it up and test the flex tomorrow.

Lift Installed!! Can already tell it will ride better.

Flex has increased 4"+ over the 4" rough country lift. (12 1/2" to 17" under tire)

Still have to finish the brakes and tighten a few things down but on the home stretch with the lift install.

Bumper done! I traded around and ended up with a beat up factory cj bumper with a stupid brush guard. I cut it off, straightened it and shortened it. I'll build a fancy one later but I got $30 and 3 hours in this one. I started on my winch mount install too. Pics later.

Do the "+" on the leafs face forward or rearward? I put mine with the "+" towards the front.

Thanks.

I will have to look. In my case I followed the old springs and had the side with the larger eyes connect to the frame (rearward in the front springs).
