Front Leaf Springs

My buddy has a 83' CJ7 with a 4" lift and 35's and quick disconnects. We went wheeling last night and when we finished and went to connect the swaybar we noticed that the front shackles folded back up against the frame. Anybody ever seen this or know a fix to keep it from happing again?

Stock What does he do? How does he stop it from happening again? He put some heavier duty ones in the rear.

sounds like the springs have too much arch and are then kicking the shackle up on the frame. You can get some slightly longer shackles(which may cause some other handling issues) or one solution is to weld a stop on the frame. That way if it goes to flip it hits the stop.
