Help Buying a CJ

I'm a YJ - TJ guy but I've got myself a Jeep Girl that is all CJ...

We're off shopping today with a limited budget ... about $4000

Am I nuts? Can I find something in one piece for this kind of money.

Anyone out there have something in Georgia?

I'm looking for a solid platform...solid frame...cosmetics, and interior and not a real concern. A complete drivetrain would be nice, but does not need to run...I'm reasonable!

Help me find a CJ!

4k should get a really nice running CJ, clean and stock.

Plenty here in Colorado - including mine (for 5k). Of course, less rust up here.

Check the frame very close. Look at both ends where the frame nears the bumpers for rot and cracks. The frames can be repaired if they are cracked. Nothing wrong with a CJ if you don't mind being patient but it might be easier (and I can't believe i'm saying this) to just find a decent YJ and install a CJ front clip.

As fate would have it... I was at "The Jeep Store" in search of service for my TJ ... A beautiful brown eyed girl was patroling the lot in search of a Jeep. I offered to help...she thought I worked there.

I got her number and our first date was 12 hours long...breakfast together, a day on the forest trails, lunch in the woods, and dinner on the way home...best day I've had in a long time!

Thank God for Jeeps...and Jeep Girls

Crazy! She just bought a YJ Sahara ... nice condition and all stock. She left it in my garage and is already researching lifts. I must have done something right to deserve this!
