I restored a 79 CJ5 G.Eagle....

Around 15 years ago, I finished restoring a 304 Golden Eagle, piece by piece, even the body I welded new panels in, spot weld by spot weld. Engine, Trany, Suspension, I mean, almost everything was restored or reconditioned, and then.......Divorce. I sold the project 98% completed and running strong, missing only the decals.
For years, I could not even talk about it, today, I just realized, looking at another project here, that I had done that myself.
Two years ago, I though about buying it back, and I looked for it, never found it, but now I have the odd feeling I don`t want to see it again, perhaps will bring bad memories.
For those CJ5 lovers around here, keep them, don`t sell them, unless the money is to medically cure a Family member or self.
My hat off to the most perfect Jeep ever, the CJ5.

You are right H.D.
I guess the CJ5 has the small size of the original CJ`s which were small to fit anywhere during wars. We here in P.R. love them beacuse we most are of average size of 5-5" to 5-7" tall, so we fit on the CJ5 like a glove, you Amercan guys are much taller, I see why the CJ7 is a perfect choice for you. Both are great, I just love the CJ5 because it`s compact and simple.

here is the last cj5 I had..I had to notch the back of the seat out so the seat would actually fit over the wheel well so that me knees and belly could clear the steering wheel
