Is this a CJ3?

This jeep is coming up for auction sunday. I haven't seen it in person. This is the picture from the auction companies website. The listing reads "JEEP 1955 Jeep CJ3, original 4 cyl. motor, 3 speed transmission". I was hoping someone could give me some help. I can't really tell if it's a CJ3. Also if it is what do you think it would be worth?

Thanks,
Jeff

I think it's actually a Cj 5 I thought. Cj 3s were flat fenders I could be wrong. The price I can't help you with just by the pic I would pay $3500

Thanks for the reply. I'm thinking it's a CJ5 also. The hood and grill look to round for a CJ3.

Yep, it's a CJ 5. Both 3A and 3B's are flat fenders with flat hoods. The 3A is the short hood version like the 2A's, MB's and GPW's while the 3B is a tall hood (to accommodate the F head engine).

It's an early cj5. After 1971 jeep stretched the hood to fit the 258 straight six.

+1 on being a CJ5, looks like Kick vents were added as well as replacement seats.
