Jeep Information BOOK

Guys,
Owner of a New 2012 JKU Rubicon. Im looking to purchase an older jeep CJ5 or older. Is there a book or some sort of literature I can purchase that shows year by year changes and options since the first Jeep was produced until now? I want to make sure what I am looking at isn't a fake, and I want to educate myself at the same time on Jeep.

Thanks, Ive seen that, however is there something that says what options and what was available every year? For instance the early Renegades 1 & 2 were actually mechanical upgrades as well as graphics. later on I believe post 1980 it was merely cosmetic only, so in reality anyone can make a Renegade with a standard CJ. There was no VIN difference in these models. Was looking for a book that will give me the right info. Per year on options, colors everything.

I don't know if it has exactly what you are looking for but have you looked at the Jeep Bible? You might try getting one off Amazon. If one is near by you could stop into the nearest Borders or Barnes & Noble to take a look at it and see if it is what you are looking for. Beyond that I don't know.

"Jeep Collectors Library", by Jim Allen is a book I reference pretty often. It has all types of info on various year model changes from cosmetic to mechanical.
