Let's see CJ-7 Pictures!

I'm about to put new tires on my CJ7 in the next few weeks. It's about time! I got my TJ where I wanted it, now I can move to the CJ! I'm thinking of going with a 4" susp lift and 33x12.50 tires. Looking to see what that looks like on some of your jeeps. Post pictures please!

Cool. You should start a build thread. If you have I missed it.

Thanks!

I had a 4" Rough Country lift before and I like this setup much better. Has a better ride, tons more flex and with the 1" body lift I removed my transfer skid drop.

Thank you! I really like how it is setup as well. It really does well off road.

There is nothing wrong with having too much lift but for trail riding it just gets you in trouble. Also boggers have a place in offroading but just not what I do. The goodyears are awesome tires. They are really pretty quiet on the road and do excellent offroad. The sidewalls are very thick.

It is a lot easier to build a cj for crusing the mall than for offroading. You can use cheaper components and be just fine. Just depends on your application.

I use the boggers for the mud bog races we have here. The mud is thick and sticky, houses were onced built from it. I also trailer it to the trails, does not see much pavement. I use my TJ for that

This is the 81 CJ8 I am working on for my parents. Going to be a nice, fun ride for them when I am done. Can't wait!

I've been hanging out over on the JK forum cause I have a new one on the way but I have been a CJ-7 owner since I bought the one pictured below new in 1977. Check out my re-build pic in my profile.

When it was new in 1977.

My 72 CJ5. Could use a paint job, but the scratches and dings are earned...has 3 inch Black Diamond lift, 1 inch body lift, and has 32 inch BFG mud terrains. Excellent flex and ride. Had 35's and a home built lift that sucked when I bought it...worst driving thing I had ever driven...not now!! Also, no power steering or power brakes...still drives like a dream.[IMG][/IMG]
