Looking to buy this...Any thoughts?

This is the top of my budget...
This will be my first Jeep...waited ten years.
I would be happy with any Jeep, but in my range this is really standing out to me. Any advice or thoughts would be extremely appreciated.

That looks and sounds like a nice scrambler at a nice price. Not many for sale at that price and condition.

I think it is def. priced right. I like it.

Check for rust between the floor boards and the side panels. The fenders are perfect but not many cj's one are.

Drove it yesterday.
happy with most....
The problem I have is the steering is so sloppy it feels unsafe. Something that would have to be replaced asap. Paying for this and then extra$$$ just to get it road ready....can't do it. If you have $6400 and maybe a grand extra to throw at it...someone could have a sweet scrambler. Just affraid it could turn into a $8000 truck just to be happy with steering.suspension and brakes.....
Damn I was so close!!!!!

I say go for it anyway! Because you could resell that thing so easy! I'm trying to talk the wife in to a project scrambler. But in Texas those run for 12k plus... But if you don't have the money I guess that makes since.

Unless you luck up you are not gona find many Cheap scrams in good shape body wise, you can swap out mech parts and have that sterring cleared up for next to nothing. Dont be scared, jump in with both feet.

I'm curious, was there any bad rust? The add was taken down before I tried the link.

No it was a really cool Jeep.
It had really poor steering and it needed a good tlc. but could be a daily d with a close to a grand in it.
