Motor exchange question

Will the motor from an 86 CJ 7 fit in an 89 Jeep Wrangler Sierra?

Don't know if it's a direct fit, but in my experience anythings possible with the kits from novak conversions/advanced adapters. I've had great luck with their custom stuff.

What motor is it? amc 304? You can fit just about any american V8 in a yj go to novak-adapt.com they have tons of information and conversion parts. Thats who ive been doing business with for my SBC350 700r4 swap.

If it's original to the 86cj it either a 258 I6, or a 4 banger, not a V8. AMC didn't offer the 304 or any V8 after about 81-83.
