New CJ8 owner

Actually my parents are. Found it for them Friday and they drove up tonight to look at it. I have an 87 and 88 YJ and they fell in love with my 88 last summer so we all have been looking for some kind of Jeep for them. Finally came across this one. 84 model that is in pretty darn good shape but there are some minor things I will fix before they take it back home with them.

Going to replace all the U-joints
Check/change fluids and filters.
Find out why the headlights do not work but all the other lights do.
Replace divers side inner and outer door handles.
Fix the wipers. They will not come on.
Replace bushings in all 4 springs.

Just up-keep stuff like that.
So little over a year ago we had a total of 0 Jeeps in our family. Now we have 3. I guess we got the fever in a bad way.

So if some of you could be so kind and let me know of problem areas or things I need to look at/for I would appreciate it.

Thank you

The headlight problem may be from the dimmer switch on the floor. Have had this twice in my CJ. Rust out from getting wet over the years and break down.

Sounds like some fun!! Enjoy!
