new ignition module affect timing?

85 CJ7 4.2 258- I recently replaced the ignition module and now my jeep is bogging down while I am driving(runs perfect in the garage). With a new ignition module would I have to time the jeep again?

Recently replaced coil, distributor cap, plug wires(wires is in the right position), ignition module

It started running funny after the module

Any ideas?

Runs well in the garage (idle, revving), but not under load/driving?

Of course, check timing to confirm, but module shouldn't have changed the timing.

It sounds like a fuel-related issue. Suggestions to check include weak fuel pump, clogged fuel filter (tank sock, inline, or in carb base), proper float level and float integrity.

HTH, good luck!
