Hey guys so I am new to Cj's and based on what this ad says it seems like this is a good buy. I would use it as a DD and occasionally drive it home to CT from Vermont on the Highway. The guy who owns it says it is an offroad jeep and doesn't handle amazing on the road but I see nothing which would prevent me from easily going 70 in it. Here is the ad please tell me what you think, I am sure I am missing something.

Thanks!

Needs a respray on the hood, previous owner just did a flat black. I figure that along with changing the shackles or hangers or whatever and the windshield seal are easy fixes. From there I have a very cleanly modded cj7. Hang onto it and baby it and it will appreciate value nicely.

The jeep is mine, I now have a CJ daily driver. The transaction wasn't exactly smooth I traded the car and then began to look at the jeep. Had some rust issues, nothing frame related. The person before the previous owner painted over some rust with the flat black paint so I was able to get another 1200 bucks added to cover any repairs so I think I did good. engine runs like a beast, I have to get the high lift shackles out before I take it places though.

The first change i want to make other than the shackles are disc brakes, any suggestions?

He is asking a little much for it. But i have a 78 cj5 with a 360, 3 speed with 4inchlift with 33's. i can do 65 easly on the highway. got it up to about 85(max on the spedo) just to see what it could do. I use mine as a dailey driver when its not winter due to no heat in it. But i have the old manual steering and it drives fine down the highway. It gets alittle bumpy inspots but nothing to crazy.
Also i have that leak and it is the window seal i am almost positive. I took a water bottle and dumped it in various places and found it was the weather seal.
