Roll cage question.

Okay well i have an 85 CJ7 and a 76..also a 95 YJ. I love my roll cage that goes along the side of the doors to the windshield. Would this cage fit into my 85? i know the windshields are different lengths correct? but idk if anyone has a site where i could get a new cage because mine currently does not have one. thank you

Honestly the YJ Cage should fit in your CJ. The tubs are virtually the same. The windshield should be the same also. I've put a CJ windshield on a YJ with minimal issues.

the windshields are the same, the only difference is the mounting hole that bolt to the dash. they are slightly off, but that is easily remedied.

you are talking about this style roll cage right:

(where the roll cage mounts to the floor in front instead of the windshield)

oh ok, i misunderstood your first post. the roll cage from the 95 should fit into the 86 cj. the cj 7 and yj windshields are the same size.

I found the only problem was that the orginal roll cage loop (side to side) didn't have bolt holes to mount the forward bars to the windshield, when I drilled them, I was way off. The ones I installed had a torx bolt in the internal expansion bar (tube). When I put it all back together, I'll center them and weld them. I am also adding bars to mount 5 point harness ect...
