Shoulder Belt Mod

I spoke with my local shop yesterday about modifying the roll bar on my 1981 CJ-8 so that it will accept a shoulder seat belt. We decided on drilling a 1.25" hole on each side and welding in a 1" long piece of rod that is threaded for a 7/16" bolt. I'll use a short bolt when topless and long bolt that extends through the factory cab holes when using a hard half top.

My question - do you know where I can get the threaded rod segments to weld into the bar? Any other ideas are welcome too. Thanks!

Not sure if your still looking or not. Weld in a tube instead of a rod and then use longer or no bolt.
