1969 Jeep CJ-6
225 cu in V-6
3 speed transmission
I bought this Jeep in 2002 and started a complete restoration. Now I don’t have the time or money to get it finished.
The body was removed, sandblasted, repaired, and repainted. There is one scrape on the front left fender where a friend bumped it with a tractor. I don’t think it’s dented, though. The engine, carburetor, transmission, and transfer case were completely rebuilt. The radiator was cleaned and painted. It will need a new shroud or an electric fan. The original gas tank was replaced with a new one. The original oil breather was replaced with an air filter. The point style ignition was replaced with an electric ignition. The alternator was replaced with a single-pole GM alternator which is not currently installed. I purchased a Painless Performance brand wiring harness, but it has not been installed. The wiring harness will be included in the sale. The frI can deliver the Jeep within a reasonable distance of Natchez, Mississippi, for my cost. If you me to figure a price for you, let me know where you live. I’m not interested in going farther than about 350 miles, and you will have to work with me on a suitable date for delivery. Otherwise transportation is the responsibility of the buyer.ont drive shaft has not been installed, but is included. New U-joints will be needed for it. Some adjustment to the steering will be needed. The Jeep does not turn as sharp to the left as it does to the right. A new steering wheel is needed. It has 4 plus 1 spare Chaparral all-terrain tires that are new but a couple of years old now. It needs a windshield. The seats have not been redone. The exhaust system is what was on the Jeep when I bought it. It functions, but may need to be replaced. I have a soft top for the Jeep, but I don’t know what condition it is in since it has been in storage for a while. A lot of the nuts and bolts were replaced with new ones, but all extra/leftover parts I have will be included. I will also include a couple of service manuals that I have.
The Jeep has been sitting outside for several years now, and it shows in the pics. I’m sure it will clean up fairly well, but what you see is what you get. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Do you have the vin showing this is a CJ6? Because from the pic it looks like it's a cut & stretched CJ5. Looking at the passenger side, there should only be one long piece, this one has about a foot pr more of sheet metal making it longer. I may be wrong, but it's not like any 6 I've ever seen.
