SYE and CJ's ?

Here's a newb question. Are the CJ's already set up without a slip yoke on the transfer case? How much lift on a CJ7 before you start having vibration issues? I don't plan (read that as can't afford) to go more than 2" to 3" lift. will it require drive shaft mods? Steering linkage mods? I hate extended shackles so would a temporary set of add a leafs be to harsh riding? (I only have 31" tires) Thanks

No sye on the CJ... 3" or under you should be fine with the shafts.. check u-joints of course fo playr, Steering, should be okay. maybe a drop pitman.. been about 10 years since i lifted my last CJ so not sure on the pitman.

I think a Cherokee Pitman will give you the drop. I'm going to try it on mine {I have a 90 cherokee parts jeep}

Dana 20 and Dana 300's do come factory with fixed yokes....so no SYE is required.

They also come with non-cv driveshafts (2 u-joints) but when you upgrade on a YJ or TJ you go to a CV/double cardon d-shaft (3 u-joints). But you can change the yoke out to accept a cv style driveshaft if need be on the cj. I have done that on mine.
