Upgrade CJ7 ignition with accessories position

Hi, modern jeeps have four ignition cylinder positions: off, acc, on, start. My 1987 CJ7 Renegade has only off, on, start. Can I put a modern Jeep ignition cylinder into my cj7 and rewire to the jeep to add an acc position? Eg can I install this cylinder in my cj7:

Original Replacement Parts 5003843AAK - Coded Ignition Cylinder with Keys for 97-06 Jeep® Wrangler TJ & Unlimited, 97-01 Cherokee XJ, 99-08 Grand Cherokee WJ & WK - Quadratec

Ignition Cylinder with Keys
For 97-06 Jeep® Wrangler TJ & Unlimited, 97-01 Cherokee XJ, 99-08 Grand Cherokee WJ & WK
Quadratec Part No: 55216.103
Manufacturer Part No: 5003843AAK

My wife keeps leaving things in the jeep on killing the battery.

Thanks for you advice guys...

I don't think it would simply be the lock cylinder. but how about swapping out the column. I'm sure someone on here knows if a TJ or late YJ column would be a close fit. I understand that the tub exchanges from a CJ to YJ so the column has to be pretty close. but, I don't know what year they added the ACC position. just my 2 cents

I think it would be easier to put rocker switches on your dash, and rewire it. Wire it to have an acc bypass through the switch. I think it would be possible. Sorry if im wrong, im not exactly a pro at it heh heh
