It's pretty cool.
The builder did a nice job with HIS Jeep.

Yes, regardless of the 'uniqueness' of the project, it looks done well and you have to respect the time and effort put in to make it what he wanted.

Because it's what he likes?
There's no shortage of Jeeps in the world. If this were a WWII relic I could understand the concern but a CJ? meh, plenty of em around and I enjoy seeing what creative people do to make their stuff stand out from the crowd even if it's something I wouldn't personally want.

Besides, other than the hydraulics and lights which would be easy to remove, what's he done to keep it from functioning as it was intended?

Skeet,

It's just like the song says:

Every Jeep is sacred,
Every Jeep is great,
If a Jeep is wasted,
God gets quite irate.

Every Jeep is wanted,
Every Jeep is good,
Every Jeep is needed,
In your neighborhood….

(Apologies to Monty Python....)

That Jeep dances like I do, stand still in one place and rock side to side occasionally while flashing embarrassing colors!!
