'55 thru '75 tops will all work for his '74. If he's looking for a hard top he is going to have begin a very long search for an old used Meyers top.

I just got a Supertop from 4wd.com for our 74 better price than JC Whitney and a mail-in rebate saves you over $150 and free shipping

Craigslist, all day everyday just keep checking it you will find one. Check the surrounding states in areas that are close to you as well.

I agree about Craigslist, and don't forget eBay. I know I know Flea=bay, but still I was able to find a new in the box supertop for my '78 CJ5, and I paid $500 plus shipping-total of $550.00 Again like finding the jeep, right place at the right time.

Just take your time and you'll find one at the right price. Also the Tiger Tops are ok, but you have to deal with snaps.

If the CJ has the original hardware Bestop has a replace a top for just under $400.
